I want to take a few moments to wish all of you a belated MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you were able to spend some time with family and friends enjoying the day. Hopefully Santa brought you everything you asked for on your photography list :-) I was planning on posting this a couple of days ago but my computer decided it wanted to act up. Windows 7, to be more specific. I was experiencing random crashes and reboots for a while but it quickly went downhill a couple of days ago. I ran virus and spyware scans and found nothing. My guess is that the registry got corrupted in some way. So, I spent parts of December 24th and 25th re-installing Windows 7 and all the associated software. I'm still working on getting everything back up but I should be back to 100% in the next day or two.
The good news is that I didn't lose any data or images. I have been fairly diligent in backing these things up, both to the cloud and to additional hard drives. Software I can replace, images and memories I can't.
Pam and I had a good day yesterday. She is getting excited about using her new to her Rebel XSi. She's working her way through the camera guide that I got her and is outside right now playing with the camera and trying it out. There are several photography club meetups in the next month that both of us will be attending so there will be lots of opportunity for her to get used to the camera.
I plan on posting some new images here once I get my editing software up and running. Until then, Happy Shooting!
