Ever since the 1st generation iPad came out, I've been very interested in tablets. I've had an ASUS Eee PC for over 3 years but the tablets seemed pretty cool. But, I wasn't ready to plop down $400-$600 (or more) for an iPad. The Android based tablets caught my eye but the 1st and 2nd generation models seemed to be missing something.
Google To The Rescue?
Back in June Google announced that they would be releasing an Android tablet, which caught my attention. After the Nexus 7 was released I waited impatiently to see how it was received by both the geek and photography community. The concensus seemed to be the the Nexus 7 was for real. I finally reached the tipping point and decided to get the new Google Nexus 7 Tablet 16GB.
I should receive the tablet near the end of the week. I really think the 7-inch form factor and speedy Tegra processor should make for a great combination. I plan on loading it up with some photography related apps along with all the usual stuff. I will give my impressions of it after using it for a week or so.
